Bethesda Relief International, Inc. is a Christian organization focused on showing the love of Jesus by following his example to care for those less fortunate, including orphans and widows with children.
We work with Bethesda Relief Services, a local charity in the Democratic Republic of Congo, run by Bishop John Bofata, pictured to the left.
The Wisconsin School
When complete, the Wisconsin school will hold 800 students at one time. The school will be able to provide both elementary and secondary education including up to 200 orphans under Bishop John's care.
The picture to the left shows the walls going up in May 2012. Click here to read more in the Hudson Star Observer.
The school will be built in surrounding area of the capital city of Kinshasa, DR Congo. The school location itself is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Kinshasa, and is located in the countryside hills surrounding the city. When visiting the building site, we saw several families living nearby and people were anxious to see construction continue so they could have gainful employment.
The school construction location can be seen on Google, just zoom in and select satellite to see the outline of the foundation from November 2011 ...
